Neat Image is a digital filter designed to reduce visible noise in digital photographic images. Neat Image detects the noise, analyzes it, and removes it. The quality of filtration is higher that in other programs because Neat Image takes into account the specific characteristics of particular acquisition devices used to capture digital images. That makes the filtration more accurate. User can train the program and adapt it to custom devices. In this way, Neat Image can be used with almost any digital camera, scanner, etc. The rich set of parameters allows to fine-tune the noise filter to achieve complete removal of the noise component. In addition to noise filtration, Neat Image can make images look sharper. This is done without degradation of image quality (which is usually inevitable for noisy images). The cooperation between Neat Image's noise filter and sharpening filter makes that possible. |
